TITLE: FYP Poster Presentation

OBJECTIVE: Completing the FYP Poster for FYP Presentation

CONTENT/PROCEDURE:

Finally, the day of FYP Presentation has come. The Poster has been completed according to the format given during briefing. For my poster, the content include:

• Abstract
• Objective
• Methodology (include Block diagram and Flow Chart)
• Result
• Reference

CONCLUSION:

Alhamdulilah, FYP has ended. Now, I have to complete the report and submit it before the due come. Lots of thanks I bid to ALLAH S.W.T for making my way smooth, and also lots of thanks to my supervisor, Sir Abdul Rashid bin Othman, other lecturers, Dr Khairil, Sir Tan, Mdm Zurin, En Zaba and all my friends for their guidance and support. I hope I will score an A for my FYP subject, amin.

WEEK 28 (FYP SEM 2)      12th NOVEMBER 2012

TITLE: Overall view of Project


OBJECTIVE: Completing FYP project of Auto Feeder For Pets

CONTENT/ PROCEDURE:

Alhamdulilah, finally my FYP project had been complete and functioning well. All the equipment is connected to each other and the test of result for each component has been carried out. The solar charger is functioning, solar panel produce reading, timer circuit is functioning and also the mechanical part, motor and blade also functioning well.

RESULT/ ANALYSIS:

Here are the result for each component that being tested :

For Solar Panel performance, the graph regarding the solar panel position Vs the voltage and also the solar panel position against the current had been plotted. As we can see, the highest reading is at 1000p.m horizontal position and the lowest reading is at vertical position at 0900a.m.

For solar charger, it functioning well when it charge the battery and the output produce is 12V.

For Timer Circuit, it provide user to set alarm up to eight different time label AL0 to AL7

For motor and blade, it functioning well as the food is being dropped smoothly

Alhamdulilah, finally its all end and the project running perfectly.

WEEK 27 (FYP SEM 2)       3 NOVEMBER 2012

TITLE: Designing Portable Feeder : Attach Mechanical Part

OBJECTIVE: To install the food container and blade for food dropping process

CONTENT/PROCEDURE:

As this Feeder is upgrade to Portable Feeder, the main component has been change to. The mechanical part is change to make it fit within the bag. For this portable feeder, the bag use is a metal bag in form of briefcase. At first, I would like to use plastic trolly bag to ensure safety precaution against electrical wiring as plastic is known as insulator. But then, I have problem to install the mechanical part as the plastic bag having lots of problem in term of welding the metal to attach the component and also its too light to attach solar panel onto the case of the bag. Thus, I end up use metal homemade bag as to reduce the budget. 

RESULT/ ANALYSIS:

As a result of changing the form of this feeder, I need to accept the fact that the food container that used before which is plastic food container does not fit well with the bag. Thus, in order to make it easy to attach the container to the pipe of blade, as well as to make sure it fit the bag which means the bag can be close properly, the food container has been change into mini torchlight case. It just a temporary and of course it only a prototype and not final product yet. Thus, this project can be upgrade more in the future to make it more convenient. The timer circuit, solar charger, pump and solar panel are attach together in this bag.

CONCLUSION:

As conclusion, this auto feeder is just a prototype and can be upgrade in future.
